Doctor

  • Robert L Guinan , DVM


         Dr. Robert Guinan has lived in Lancaster most of his life. He is a graduate of Fisher Catholic High School, later attending OSU College of Agriculture where he received his B.S. in Agriculture summa cum laude in 1980. He graduated cum laude from OSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. While in veterinary school, he was a member of the Phi Zeta Veterinary Honor Society. He joined the staff at Morris Veterinary Clinic in 1986 after spending 2 years in a mixed animal practice in Beckley, West Virginia. He is a member of the American and Ohio Veterinary Medical Associations and is a past president of the South Central Veterinary Medical Association. 
         Dr. Guinan’s hobbies include woodworking and the outdoors. He lives in Lancaster with his wife, Debbie, and their three children, Leo, Jill, and Molly.

  • John C Hartig , DVM


         Dr. John Hartig is originally from Grove City, Ohio. He attended The Ohio State University and pursued a degree in Animal Science, but was granted early acceptance in the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. While in veterinary school, he was a member of Omega Tau Sigma social fraternity and Phi Zeta Veterinary Honor Society. He graduated magna cum laude from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. Dr. Hartig moved to Lancaster in June of 1994 with his wife, Teresa, to begin his practice career at Morris Veterinary Clinic. He is a member of both the American and Ohio Veterinary Medical Associations. 
         Dr. Hartig has many interests outside of his practice. He spends much of his free time helping his wife, Teresa, in the raising of their two children, John and Anna. He loves all kinds of sports and trys to play as much golf and basketball at time allows. Dr. Hartig and his family attend St. Paul Lutheran Church here in Lancaster. They also make frequent visits back home to Waverly and Grove City to visit family and friends. He likes to read classic literature and grow a vegetable garden each year. Dr. Hartig enjoys vacationing in warm, relaxing climates and hopes to visit Germany someday with his whole family to visit relatives.|

  • Teresa H Hartig , DVM


         Dr. Teresa Hartig is originally from Waverly, Ohio. She attended The Ohio State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. While in veterinary school, she was a member of Omega Tau Sigma veterinary social fraternity and the Phi Zeta Veterinary Honor Society. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1994.
         Dr. Teresa Hartig started practice at the Groveport Animal Clinic in Groveport, Ohio. She joined the staff of Morris Veterinary Clinic in October of 2000. Dr. Hartig currently splits time between veterinary practice and raising her children, John and Anna. John was born in March of 1998 and Anna was born in December 2000. Dr. Hartig enjoys running and many other sports when she finds the time. She is also an avid swimmer and belongs to Valley View Swim Club here in Lancaster with her family.  She is also a Cincinnati Reds fan and trys to see at least one game each season.

  • Dr. Allison Bowman , D.V.M.


         Dr. Allison Bowman is the newest addition to our veterinary staff.  She is originally from Tiffin, Ohio.  Dr. Bowman attended Capital University where she received her Bachelors of Chemistry and she graduated Magna Cum Laude.

        Dr. Bowman was then accepted to the Ohio State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, where she received her D.V.M. in 2007.  Dr. Bowman was an active member of Omega Tau Sigma, a veterinary social fraternity.  Dr. Bowman joined our practice in June of 2007 and re-located to the Lancaster area soon after with her husband, Officer Jason Bowman.  Shortly after joining our practice Dr. Murray and her husband were blessed with a healthy baby boy, Alex.  When not in the clinic, Dr. Bowman enjoys reading, running and spending as much time as possible with her family.

  • Frederick E Scott , DVM


         Dr. Fred Scott received is B.S. in Agriculture in 1967, worked one year on his master’s degree in Poultry Pathology, and graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He was inducted into the Phi Zeta Veterinary Honor Society and was a member of the Omega Tau Sigma veterinary social fraternity. 
         Dr. Scott is a member of the Ohio and American Veterinary Medical Associations. He served two, two-year terms on the  O.V.M.A. Board of Trustees and served as Chairman of the O.V.M.A. Ethics and Grievance Committee. In February of 2001, he received the Distinguished Service Award from the O.V.M.A.. Dr. Scott is also a past president of the South Central Veterinary Medical Association. 
         Dr. Scott is currently semi-retired and his hobbies include fishing, hunting, and collecting antique veterinary memorabilia. He resides in Lancaster with his wife, Phyllis. They have two married sons, Dr. David Scott (wife Dr. Tara Scott and daughter Joci and twins Julia and Ryan), and Dr. John Scott (wife Dr. Laurianne Scott and daughter Mallory).

  • Paul K Morris , DVM


         Dr. Morris graduated from OSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 1960. He moved to Lancaster with his wife Mickey and three children in 1964 and started Morris Veterinary Clinic. He retired from practice in January of 2001.
